Under the Great Old Oak Tree…

Because there are some places that just attract you… The original plan was straightforward enough: we were scheduled to play in a circus tent at the Wanterfeeling festival in Luxembourg, and it sounded like a unique and vibrant venue, full of the energy of past performances and echoing laughter. But somehow, the tent felt secondary the moment we noticed the oak tree standing just off to the side.

It was an old oak, its branches spread wide like open arms, grounded in place yet offering some kind of mystical welcome. The space beneath it had a charm of its own, something ancient and unspoken, like it held memories of gatherings and whispered secrets between the roots and soil. We could almost feel a hum coming from it, calling us, daring us to make it our stage. It was as though the tree had been waiting for us, wanting to share in our music, adding its own natural rhythm to the sounds we’d bring.

It didn’t take long before we all agreed: we had to move the performance here. When we finally started playing, it felt good. The square in front of us became the village square, the tree behind us felt supporting… We were humbled. And happy!
